Traditional braces is something that’s been there for a very long time and we still like to use it. I know that Invisalign or all kind of clear aligners get their momentum right now, but not all the cases are made equal. So for more difficult, we like to use our traditional braces.
For the first, because they are a little bit faster, they are a little bit more predictable. The computer actually simulates the clear aligners while we are in control for traditional braces. We also very often use something that we call hybrid.
So we start with traditional braces, get rid of the most difficult part of the braces and then we can finish, which is very comfortable for the patients. The best technology right now for more difficult cases is to have something that we call a digital braces. Digital braces is a combination of traditional braces with the computerized simulation and individualized treatment plan, which I cannot underline more.
So each bracket is a different place and has a different way to move the tooth for the better patient outcome. With the brackets, we can control the time a little bit better than with the clear aligners. But of course, not everybody wants to do that because their smile is not that aesthetic.
We also offer clear brackets that are maybe a little bit slower than metal, but still do a phenomenal work for our patients. So all depends on complexity, on time, how much time they want to spend, how difficult the case is. The more difficult, the more we are prone to go at hybrid versus just clear aligners.
After a year, everybody’s looking at one thing when I’m finished.
